Ricciarelli biscuits are oval-oblong fairly regular, the taste and smell are typical ofalmond paste, very sweet.
Very soft and spongy, white, for the presence of powdered sugar sprinkled on top,have a surface cracked and wrinkled.
There is also a version covered in chocolate, chocolate or Ricciarelli Ricciarellicalled "rough".
Typical product of the province of Siena, the tradition of Ricciarelli has expandedalso to the Pisan (in Pomarance their production accompanies all holidays) and Grosseto.
